All Data Storage Media is data erased using Active KillDisk on a 3 pass system, using the Active KillDisk system provides the following features:-

• Detects and displays information about all partitions, hard disks and floppy drives connected

• Wipes out all floppies and hard disk drives completely by secure overwriting data on physical level using [One Pass Zeros] data destruction method

• Erases partitions, logical drives and even unused disk space                   

• Cleans hard drives, floppies, etc:

• US Department of Defence Data Security Standard DoD 5220.22 M Compliant and supports 17 security standards from various countries, including relevant UK standards

Any data storage media that fails this procedure is placed on a CESG Security Degausser (Verity SV91M) and destroyed. The SV91M Degausser for High Coercivity Tape is designed to erase a broad range of magnetic media, including high density metal tapes and PC hard disk drives.

In addition to NATO approval, the SV91M has been approved to CESG standard for restricted or less, for the secure erasure and destruction of information and data stored on magnetic media up to TOP SECRET level

To ensure a direct line between your location and our recycling facility we operate our own fleet of vehicles who collect and deliver directly point-to-point. This is a nationwide service using a range of vehicles from small van right up to fourty four foot articulated trailer vehicles. We can provide sealable crates with a security tag to lock the crate which is checked at both ends.

Once it arrives we provide a range of data destruction options which are all suitable to permanently destroy data. these include software that satisfies Baseline and Enhanced standards for the MOD and the US DoD, or degaussing using strong magnetic fields that permanently and irrevocably destroy drives and the stored data. We also provide the aditional safeguard of physical destruction using an electronic hard drive press. This device physically destroys up to 200 hard disks an hour crushing both the circuit board and the disk platters rendering them useless. These are then recycled by granulation into small flakes - Your data is gone forever!

We send a company vehicle and technician to your site. Loose drives or drives housed in external arrays or held within PC's, Laptops and servers can now be destroyed on site. Our state of the art mobile facility provides a workshop for the safe and manageable removal of drives from host machines. All drives are serial number recorded and an electronic audit is created and provided.

Disk destruction is performed as a two stage process with the drive zapped by a degausser which wipes the disk using a strong magnetic field.Using a degausser is the only way to guarantee all data on hard drives and other magnetic media is completely unrecoverable. The second stage is a Hard Disk Crusher which drills through the hard disks spindles and physically ripples and tears the platters making it impossible to recover the data
